Bio
Todd Dow started making music in 1990 when he picked up the guitar. He failed to seize his musical dreams as a young man, instead focusing on his dream of being a husband and father, and taking up a career that would pay the bills. After years in a stressful and unsatisfying career, he decided to revisit the dream of becoming a full-time musician, and double down on the work to make it happen.
In 2021, Todd began working on his first album, To The Light, which was released in October of 2023. On a budget of no money, and a studio comprised of a travel trailer, the outdoors, and “opportunistically obtained” spaces, he set about writing all the music, playing all the recorded instruments, and singing all the vocals.
Todd’s music is influenced by Bob Dylan, James Brown, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, the Layla album by Derek and the Dominos, Otis Redding, Robert Cray, Wilson Pickett, and countless other artists.
